New Supplement

       Hey everyone, I just started taking HMB! Studies have shown that HMB works to increase lean mass and strength, and at a dosage of 3 g per day, HMB helps decrease muscle damage after hard workouts and even helps increase endurance! This will be a great supplement for someone like me who works out at a high intensity daily and needs that extra help to repair muscles.

  1. Hey Leah, great blog! Like you I'm a fitness fanatic and I trying to make a career change to pursue my passion. I noticed that you are ACSM Certified. I'm going for the ACSM Health Fitness Specialist certification. It's basically the same as The PT certification just more money. Anyway I was wondering how you went about studying for the test. From what I've read the ACSM is one of the most highly regarded certifications and you're literally the only person I've run across that has it........well the only famous person anyway. Any tips you may have would help out a lot though, thanks. I'll be sure to follow your blog.

  2. Hi DL Neely! Nice to meet you. That is great that you are pursuing your passion! When I studied for my ACSM certification I bought all of the recommended study materials that they posted on their site, I read everybook and then went in depth with each chapter memorizing it and visualized everything with an "everyday situation" from a personal trainers perspective so that it made sense and I understood. Also make sure to take the study exam that is online because it really shows how the test is setup and what type of questions they will be asking. The ACSM test is probably so highly regarded because it's so hard! But if you study well and make sure you do good on the practice exam you will be fine! :)
